The first gameplay video for the forthcoming STALKER 2 game has been released by GSC Game World. The game will now officially release in December 2023, and preorders are now available. STALKER 2 is the planned fourth game in a long-running PC first-person shooter franchise set in an alternate reality. The game is released 14 years after STALKER: Call of Pripyat, the series’ third installment.
Originally scheduled for release in April of this year, the game’s release date has been moved back to December 8, 2023, because of the continuing Russian invasion of Ukraine, where the game is being created. A 4K resolution of the gameplay video, including various combat elements and cutscenes, is now available.
STALKER 2 employs the most recent version of EPIC Games’ Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine. It will be available on Epic Game Store and Steam upon launch. It will also launch on XBOX Series as a three-month exclusive and be added to the Game Pass library.
For PC gamers, developers suggest Radeon RX 5700 XT or GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER/GTX1080 Ti graphics cards. Although these GPUs are stated as the minimum requirements, they should be playable with Radeon RX 580 and GTX 1060 6GB.
