Final Thoughts on the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Omni
I knew from the beginning that the Arctis Nova Pro Omni was going to be a unique gaming headset when compared to the rest of the field. I think the initial clue was that there were just so many audio input options available to the headset, thanks to the included GameHub. Offering three USB Type-C inputs, along with a 3.5mm audio input(and output), and Bluetooth connectivity, the Omni is perfectly aligned for those gamers with multiple systems that they cycle through using on a regular basis. Having the ability to mix multiple physical and digital audio sources together in one platform, and offering the ability to control them in multiple areas really makes this headset standout from the rest of the pack.
The ability to use this headset across pretty much every device you can think of makes it a versatile part of your gaming arsenal. My son is the perfect candidate for this type of headset – he’s often found with an earbud in one ear listening to music or shortform content on his phone, with the other ear wearing half of a gaming headset for his game audio and voice chat. Now he can toss the Omni on and not have to deal with a lopsided audio experience any longer. Toss in the ANC to drown out the constant hum of a noisy HVAC system, and you have a headset that allowed me to become more focused on the task at hand. And this was possible for hours on end, thanks to the long battery life (swappable units offering up to 60 hours of use) and comfortable padding and material choices from SteelSeries.
Now, you don’t get features like omni-platform connectivity, swappable batteries, active noise cancellation, and AI noise rejection without a price, and with the Arctis Nova Pro Omni, that is a bit of a premium price. Available at our favorite online retailer, the SteelSeries Acrtis Nova Pro Omni is priced at $399.99 – certainly a premium price for a premium, feature-packed headset. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Omni earns a 9 out of 10 and the Recommended Award.
