With the launch of Intel's 9th Generation Core processors, including the Core i9-9900K, Intel has also introduced the Z390 chipset. Since Intel's official announcement we've already seen quite a lot of motherboards Z390 motherboards announced. Earlier this week Intel made their 9th generation processors and the Z390 chipset official. With that we are going to see a whole slew of new motherboards for Intel's latest mainstream platform. As of right now the embargo on the processors is still in effect, but we are able to tell you about the chipset, and more importantly the motherboards! ASUS Readying 19 Motherboards for Z390 Chipset

ASUS is working on at least 19 motherboards for the "Coffee Lake-S" refresh. The Z390 chipset is basically a re-branding of the current Z370 chipset with a stronger reference CPU VRM to cope with Intel's upcoming 8-core, 16-thread "Wiskey Lake" processors. ASUS's Z390 lineup will be made up of Maximus XI, STRIX, Prime, TUF and Dragon series boards.
