Apple to Refresh MacBook Pro and MacBook Air Models at WWDC

Ming-Chi Kuo, who is an analyst with KGI Securities has issued a new report forecasting that Apple will refresh their notebooks at their upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which kicks off June 10th. Apple is said to be refreshing both the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models. The refreshed units will be powered by Intel's new 4th generation Core (Haswell) processors. This makes sense as Intel will <a href="http://thinkcomputers.wpengine.com/intel-haswell-desktop-processors-launch-date-officially-revealed/">officially launch</a> the processors at Computex (June 4-8th).

CES 2011: Otherworld Computing

Otherworld Computing, more commonly known as simply OWC, made a splash this year at CES with its line of Mercury Aura Pro SSDs for 2008 and 2009 models of the Macbook Air and other Macbooks. It's the first of its kind made specifically for the MBA. The drive trounces standard HDD performance, and shows a 400% performance increase against the stock SSD from the 2009 model and a 200% performance increase against the 2010 model of the MBA.
