Apple Will Release Two Display Sizes For Upcoming MacBook Air Without Mini-LED and ProMotion

Till a few days ago, rumors were circulating the internet regarding Apple planning to launch a 15-inch screen size MacBook Air model. As per the most recent update, Apple will now be introducing two new display sizes, however, it will be missing the high end display specs which some of us might have been expecting.

If we dive into further details, DSCC analyst Ross Young’s Twitter thread confirms that this year’s MacBook Air will have a display size of 13.6-inches. This is only slightly bigger than the current display size of 13.3 inches. It is still smaller than the display size of 14.2 inches on the MacBook Pro.

From what we have heard so far, we might be looking at a completely new design for the MacBook Air as well as a fresh form factor. But we will still have to wait and see if any of this information is concrete as the launch date hasn’t been announced as of yet.

Apple is also planning to launch a 15 inches MacBook Air. This model is expected to launch in 2023 and since we had been hearing a lot about Apple working on a bugger model, there is a higher probability that this will be true. Interestingly, Ming-Chi Kuo has pointed out that this model will only be called the MacBook and not the MacBook Air.

According to Ross Young, the new 2023 model will have a 15.2 inches display, and depending on how Apple plans to redesign the chassis, it will be smaller in size than the MacBook Pro. These are still rumors, but Young says that both MacBook Air models will not feature the mini-LED display or the ProMotion technology. As opposed to this, reports from DigiTimes state that the mini LED will be featured on these models. We are still far from making any conclusions and will have to wait for further reports on these new models.
