Apple Is Planning A New 15-Inch MacBook Air And 12-Inch MacBook For 2023

This year’s WWDC event was quite a hit as Apple announced two of its MacBook models based on the M2 chip; the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro. If you look at the MacBook Air, it pretty much has the same features as those on the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. Apple is not yet done with the MacBook Air and in 2023 we will be seeing new 15 inches and 12 inches variants as well.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has confirmed that the new 15 inches MacBook Pro is going to closely resemble the larger 16 inches MacBook Pro. This is the first time in the history of the MacBook Air that it is going to feature a screen of this size. Currently, the MacBook Air featuring the M2 chip comes with a 13.6 inches display. As far as the design is concerned, the report says that the 15 inches MacBook Air is going to come with the same design as the 13.6 inches model. As we are already aware, this would mean that the 15 inches model will likely come with a uni-body.

According to Gurman, Apple also has plans to launch a small 12-inch MacBook which will most likely be renamed but the name hasn’t been mentioned yet. We are of the view that it might come as a sequel to the Retina MacBook which was 12 inches and had been discontinued by Apple.

The 15-inch MacBook Air will launch sometime in 2023. As the report suggests, it might be a Spring event. The smaller 12-inch MacBook is likely to launch by the end of next year or maybe even at the start of 2024.
