The E3 2020 “Online Experience” Cancelled

E3 2020 was originally set to happen on June 9-11th in Los Angles, but because of the COVID-19 outbreak it was cancelled. Last month E3’s organizer ESA stated that they were “exploring options with our members to coordinate an online experience to showcase industry announcements and news in June 2020”. Since then not much has really been said about the online experience.

According to a new report by PC Gamer, the online event will not be happening anymore. Here is the statement given to PC Gamer.

“Given the disruption brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be presenting an online E3 2020 event in June. Instead, we will be working with exhibitors to promote and showcase individual company announcements, including on www.E3expo.com, in the coming months,” the rep said. “We look forward to bringing our industry and community together in 2021 to present a reimagined E3 that will highlight new offerings and thrill our audiences.”

E3 2021 will run June 15-17th.
