Thermaltake Ceres 300 TG ARGB Case Review

A Look Inside

Taking a look inside the case we can see that it has the pretty standard two compartment design. The main compartment will house your motherboard and graphics card. Even though this is a more compact version of the Ceres 500, it still has support for motherboards up to E-ATX (12″ x 13″) and graphics cards up to 370 mm as well as CPU coolers as tall as 185mm. Surrounding the motherboard tray you have multiple cable routing holes, the two main ones have rubber inserts.

There is a full-length power supply cover that separates the two compartments of the case. It has ventilation holes in it as well as cable routing holes to connect cables to the bottom of your motherboard and a cut-out towards the front if you planned in installing a radiator in the front of the case.

At the front of the case we can see our two pre-installed fans and some more cable routing holes. The expansion slot covers on the case are not while, but black. They are held into place by thumbscrews.

Taking the opposite side panel off the case we can see how the rest of the case is designed. There are four velcro ties with integrated tie-downs to help you organize all of your cables.

On the backside of the motherboard tray is a removable storage mount. It supports either a single 3.5-inch hard drive or two 2.5-inch solid state drives.

The bottom compartment of the case is where you’ll mount your power supply and is completely ventilated. This case supports ATX power supplies up to 220 mm in length. Towards the front of the case is a fan mount that supports 140 mm or 120 mm fans. It is sort of interesting that there is not a hard drive cage down here as we typically see that in other cases.
