Thermaltake Commander G41 Mid-Tower Case Review

Final Thoughts
Themaltake Commander front no build

What you have to understand when we are grading this case is that it is made to be an inexpensive case or an economy or budget case and The Thermaltake Commander G41 never tells you that is something that it is not. It is a budget gaming case and it fits that name quite well. It has thin metal and a very light paint job but its still a very nice case as you can see from the picture. Modders that are looking for an affordable case to mod that doesn’t cost a lot of money to start out with. System builders will get a great easy building experience from building inside the Thermaltake Commander G41. For gamers that want to spend more money on the parts that matter will love this case because you can do anything you want inside this case including a custom water cooling loop.

In fact I wished that all budget cases would use this case as a template for their cases. This case is great for a budget build and in the budget category it would be a 10 of 10 but we do compare this case with other more expensive and higher quality cases so the score is lower for the thin metal panels and the ultra thin black paint job on the outside. But for bang for the buck I can’t think of many cases that offer the same extras that this case offers. Its just a nice little case. A case that will look good and save you money for another video card or two.

Right now you can pick up the Thermaltake Commander G41 at my favorite online retailer for $60.93. Overall ThinkComputers would like to award the Thermaltake Commander G41 a very solid 8 out of 10 score!

rating8 10 small

Pros:
– Great engineering
– Easy to build in
– Really nice air flow
– Big side window
– Good looks
– Panel screws stay in place after removal

Cons:
– Paint is very lightly sprayed but looks great at 1 foot or more away. But close attention will reveal the light spraying of the black paint on the panels.
– Metal is thin. Not as thin as some but it is an economy budget case so we expect this.
