Final Thoughts on the Thermaltake TR100 Mini Tower Chassis

When it comes to a small form factor case I would say the most important thing is that it is easy to build in. No one wants to buy a case that looks good, yet is a pain to build in, upgrade, etc. With the TR100 Mini Thermaltake makes the installation process so easy as all the panels come off the case, the case is a bit larger than other cases, it has a simple 2 compartment design, and many of the mounts are removable. As I said earlier in this review this is one of the easier mini-ITX builds that I’ve done.

The slightly larger size of the case also allows for up to a 280mm radiator in the top of the case. When you are dealing with a small case temperatures can become an issue, but having support for the 280mm radiator definitely covers that. Also since we have more room inside we can install large, full-length graphics cards and you can’t forget that the riser cable does come with the case.

If you wanted to install Thermaltake’s LCD screen (sold separately) you can easily in the front of the case. I really like that so many Thermaltake cases support this LCD without any issues.

If anything I would have really liked to see the ability to install fans on the bottom of the case.

Right now you can pick this case up at our favorite online retailer for $149.99. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Thermaltake TR100 Mini Tower Chassis a 9 out of 10 score!
