Toshiba OCZ RC100 Overview
The first thing you’ll notice about the Toshiba OCZ RC100 is that it is quite small. It is only 42 mm long, most M.2 solid state drives are 80 mm long. You can see the size difference next to the WD Black NVMe drive.
On the main side of the drive is a small sticker covering the single chip on the drive. Toshiba has put the TLC BiCS FLASH memory and the in-house-developed controller on a single BGA package. Not much information is known about this controller, but as we mentioned it uses a PCIe x2 interface rather than a full x4 interface.
Flipping over to the back of the drive there is another small sticker which has the part number and other important information on the drive.
