Final Thoughts
I am a person who likes certain things and sticks with them for a very long time. With most gaming products I test them for a month and its back to my staple that I know and love. It seems like Tt eSPORTS has a knack of winning me over. I had been using a ROCCAT mouse and now the Tt eSPORTS Level 10 M Hybrid is now my main mouse for not only gaming but everyday use. I had also been using a ROCCAT keyboard, but that has since been replaced with the Tt eSPORTS MEKA G1 Illuminated keyboard. So Tt eSPORTS makes up my mouse and keyboard and the last remaining piece was my Logitech G35 headset, which I’ve had and used religiously since its come out. Well sorry Logitech, you have also been replaced with a Tt eSPORTS product.
The biggest thing I find with these products, which is something I really like is that they are simple and to the point. The Captain Dracco is a headset a gaming headset and nothing more. While you have inline volume control there are not play / pause or media buttons that clutter up the headset or extra gimmicks to get you to buy this headset. I think in the end that is what gamers want, they don’t need extra functionality that they ultimately will not use.
Talking about gaming as I have mentioned in this review not only has this headset replaced my main gaming headset it has also replaced my earbuds I use on my laptop. So this tells us two things. First that the sound quality is superb, this probably has a lot to do with the 50 mm drivers in the earcups. Secondly that this headset is extremely comfortable. While gaming and working I am sitting at my computer for hours so I need something that I can wear for an extended period of time. I like how my ears fit inside the earcups and do not hurt after hours of use, the same goes with the headband. Normally with gaming headsets the headband is the thing that bothers me after long periods of use, but this headset has a thinner layer of cushion material on the headset, which I think makes a big difference.
With all gaming headsets it is nice to see a travel bag included. This makes it easy to take the headset with you to LAN parties or other events. It was also nice to see a different carrying bag than the typical black bag that I’ve seen with other Tt eSPORTS gaming headsets.
I honestly cannot say anything bad about this headset, but if I did have my way I would make the microphone detachable. It just gets it out of the way when I am not using it or when I am using the headset solely for audio.
Right now you can pick up the Captain Dracco for $78.50 at my favorite online retailer, which is a great price. I rarely say this, but if you are looking for a gaming headset this is THE ONE to get! It has been quite a while since a product has really impressed me like the Captain Dracco has.
