V-Color Manta XPrism DDR5
Taking a first look at the V-Color Manta XPrism DDR5 memory I have to say it is a very basic looking kit in terms of the heatspreader. It is all black and has a “V” in the center. On one side is the XPrism logo and on the other it has the speed, capacity, voltage, and model #. It is actually quite weird to see this painted on the heatspreaders, not a sticker on the back.
Flipping the modules over we have the same layout and then a small sticker that has a barcode on it. We received the black version of the memory, but it also comes in white which has an all white heatspreader.
At the top of each module you’ll find a thick opaque white diffuser that sort of has an angular design. It definitely is nice to see something different than the ordinary flat diffuser we see on most RGB memory modules. Right in the center there is a small Manta logo.
The diffuser is decently thick, which adds a little more height to these modules. We measured them at 41.6 mm tall.
The dummy modules are pretty much identical to the regular modules except they say “RGB non dram” on them instead of all the information that is not on the regular modules. Another good way to tell the difference between the real modules and dummy modules is that the dummy modules don’t have any traces by the connector.
