V-Color Manta XPrism DDR5-6200 32GB Memory Kit Review

Final Thoughts

This being our first review of a V-Color product I am impressed and it was no surprise when we found out Gigabyte has used V-Color as their OEM for their memory modules in the past. I think the thing that really sets this kit apart from other DDR5 kits we’ve reviewed lately is the dummy modules. This allows you to have all of your memory slots populated, which of course is going to look the best when it comes to the RGB lighting. With DDR5 still in a sort of scarce supply and relatively expensive the dummy modules give you that completely look.

Beyond looks this memory performed great. At 6200 MHz with timings of 36-39-39-76 it is actually our best performing DDR5 kit that we’ve tested so far! Being that the XMP profile sets this memory at 6200 MHz you are going to want to make sure you have the latest BIOS installed on your motherboard to insure compatibility.

As I mentioned I really do like the RGB lighting on these modules, but the heatspreader is about as basic as it gets. I would have liked to have seen something that stood out a bit more. It is nice that V-Color is offering these kits in both black and white version though.

In the end it comes down to pricing and right now you can pick a 32GB DDR5-6200 kit in either white or black at our favorite online retailer for $399.99. Now this is a kit without the dummy modules. Kits with the dummy kits retail for $459.99, but they do not seem to be available online currently. Overall ThinkComputers gives the V-Color Manta XPrism DDR5-6200 32GB Memory Kit a 9 out of 10 score.
