It was announced yesterday that E3 2020 was cancelled due to Coronavirus. Microsoft Xbox is always one of the largest participants in the event. This year was definitely important for them as they were expected to give gamers more information on their next-generation console and platforms. Microsoft’s Xbox business head Phil Spencer announced that the Xbox E3 event will still go on, it will just be an online event.
E3 has always been an important moment for Team Xbox. Given this decision, this year we'll celebrate the next generation of gaming with the @Xbox community and all who love to play via an Xbox digital event. Details on timing and more in the coming weeks https://t.co/xckMKBPf9h

I expect we should see similar announcements about other large events that have been cancelled due to Coronavirus. NVIDIA’s GPU Technology Conference has already turned into an online event.
