World’s First 600Hz Laptop Gaming Display Unveiled By BOE

The new ultra-fast gaming panel for laptops that BOE demonstrated at the 2022 World Display Industry Conference was a big hit with the conference’s attendees.

The 27-inch 500 Hz gaming panel from BOE was introduced in January this year. However, this panel has not yet been integrated into commercially available products. Nonetheless, BOE’s R&D team is concentrating on even more fascinating products, such as laptops with panels that refresh at a rate of 600 hertz.

The official still image shows the 16-inch gaming panel with a 600 Hz refresh rate for the first time. Though there isn’t a lot of information available, we can see that it has a 16:10 display and is powered by an NVIDIA RTX system.

Although Dell’s Alienware x17 R2 systems, with their 17-inch 1080p and 480 Hz displays, came close to being the first to break the 500 Hz barrier for laptops, no company has yet to achieve this feat. Neither the launch date nor the resolution of the BOE’s 600 Hz monitor is known.

A 34-inch ultra-wide 165Hz panel with HDR1000 certification and a contrast ratio of 100,000:1 was one of their new Mini-LED offerings. There was a Mini-LED 4K panel, 86 inches in size, next to it. Its brightest setting, at 1500 nits, is enabled by the MLED backlight, which is always on.
