A few days ago XFX teased what appeared to be swappable fans for Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards. These new graphics cards are part of a new series called “Magnetic Air,” and will be made up of the XFX Qicksilver Radeon RX 7800 XT Magnetic Air and the XFX Mercury Radeon RX 7900 XTX Magnetic Air. Both cards will launch on June 18th.

The thing that really sets these cards apart from others is that they offer “toolless fan removal and replacement”, which will make GPU repairs and cleaning your fans so much easier. This is made possible by a magnetic connection that makes it almost effortless to remove and replace the fans. This also opens up the possibility of XFX offering different colored fans so you can customize your card.
On top of the magnetic removable fans these cards also will make use of Honeywell PTM 7950 phase-changing thermal pads as well as a 216 matrix fin cooling solution that is arranged in a high and low structure to optimize airlfow. All cards will also have a die-cast aluminum full-cover backplate.
When it comes to pricing the XFX Qicksilver Radeon RX 7800 XT Magnetic Air will be $529.99 and be available in both white and black versions. The XFX Mercury Radeon RX 7900 XTX Magnetic Air will be $979.99.
