Xiaomi To Announce Redmi G Pro 2024 Laptops With Intel 14th Gen “HX” CPUs

Xiaomi is gearing up for the release of new laptops in 2024, featuring the power of Intel’s upcoming 14th Gen “HX” and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite CPUs. The upcoming year promises intense competition in the PC and laptop sector, with AMD, Intel, and Apple already engaged in fierce rivalry. Joining the fray, Qualcomm has declared its entry into the PC segment with the introduction of its Snapdragon X Elite chips.

According to insiders, Xiaomi is getting ready to launch its Redmi G Pro 2024 laptop lineup, offering two configurations. One is a high-end variant featuring the Intel Core i9-14900HX with 16 GB DDR5 memory, and the other is a mainstream option with the Core i5-14500HX and 16 GB DDR5 memory. These laptops utilize the latest Intel Raptor Lake-HX Refresh chips from the 14th Gen family, catering to the high-end gaming segment. Alongside the powerful CPUs, they will be equipped with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 40 discrete GPUs, including the RTX 4060 Max-Q.

Regarding specifications, the Intel Core i9-14900HX CPU boasts 24 cores (8 P-Cores + 16 E-Cores), 32 threads, clock speeds up to 5.8 GHz, and a maximum turbo power design of 157W (55W PL1). On the other hand, the Core i5-14500HX offers 14 cores (6 P-Cores + 8 E-Cores), 20 threads, clock speeds up to 4.9 GHz, and comparable TDP ratings.

Xiaomi intends to include Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite CPUs in its laptop lineup. Reports indicate that the company is currently testing slim and lightweight designs powered by these new chips. Anticipated to arrive in mid-2024, these ARM-based chips, utilizing the Oryon CPU architecture, are poised to provide formidable competition to AMD and Intel CPUs.
