Zalman CNPS 9900LED CPU Cooler Review

Aftermarket CPU coolers have been around a long time, though only in the past 10 years or so has real innovation been involved in their design. Literally hundreds of aftermarket CPU coolers have been built in that time, though most have fallen by the wayside due to lack of effectiveness or practicality. Some of them were really wild. I never really dwelt on it, but I guessed that we’d pretty much seen about all we could in the way of new and unique.

But, I was wrong. Leave it up to Zalman to come up with something new. Zalman needs no introduction, anyone that has ever shopped for high quality/high performance CPU or GPU coolers has seen some of their wares, there is no way around it.

Today I will be looking at the Zalman CNPS 9900LED CPU Cooler. Zalman has taken the tower styled heatpipe cooler in a totally different direction by additions to the designs of their 9300 and 9500 CPU coolers. With its huge expanse of copper fins and unique styling, it looks different than any cooler I have ever seen. Will it also keep that i7 down to a manageable temperature? Read on to see!
