Zalman’s New $100 CNPS20X CPU Cooler

It looks like Zalman is back! At Computex this year they were showing off their new flagship air cooler the CNPS20X. This dual-tower CPU cooler has one feature that is immediately noticeable, which are the copper fins on the heatsink. Instead of using an all aluminum heatsink fin stack Zalman has added copper fins towards the center of the stack for improved performance.

Besides the copper fins you also have a lot of other great features. The cooler makes use of four-dimensional corrugate cooling fins that increase heat dissipation area by 15% while also creating 350 individual air flow passages. There are six RDTH (reverse direct touch heat pipes) with IHD (interactive heat pipe transfer design) which results in minimized heat resistance and the transfer of heat more quickly in both directions.

The fan features two of Zalman’s new 140 mm spider RGB fans. These RGB fans support all major motherboard software, but you can also control them with Zalman’s Z-Sync software as well. These PWM fans have a max RPM of 1500.

The cooler weighs in at a hefty 1300g. As far as supported sockets the cooler supports Intel LGA2066, LGA2011-V3, LGA2011, LGA115x, LGA1366, and AMD’s AM4, AM3+, AM3, FM2+, FM2. The MSRP of this cooler will be $100 USD.
