I’m a huge fan of portable storage, probably because I make use of it almost every day! M.2 enclosures have been around for a while, allowing you to take an existing M.2 drive, install it in the enclosure, and now you have an external portable drive. With the M.2 2230 (30mm) form factor becoming really popular with portable game consoles we’ve seen smaller M.2 enclosures come out to support these new drives. One such enclosure is the Patriot Viper EV330. This small little enclosure only weighs 52g, has a slick design that integrates the included USB cable, and supports fast transfer speeds. Is this the portable enclosure you need? Read on as we find out!
Special thanks to Patriot for providing us with the Viper EV330 M.2 2230 SSD Enclosure to review.
