But for me, a companies reputation goes a long way and Team Group is a name I’ve grown to trust over the years. So when they asked us to take a look at the 512 GB variant of their T-Force Vulcan G 2.5″ SSD, we happily agreed. The 512 GB T-Force Vulcan G SSD is a 2.5″ SATA 6 SSD that offers read speeds up to 550 MB/s and write speeds up to 500 MB/s. But with so many companies producing solid-state drives in 2020, why should you go for the T-Force Vulcan G SSD? We rand the 512 GB T-Force Vulcan G SSD through our suite of benchmarks to try and answer that question. So, let’s see how the Vulcan G SSD did.

Packaging
The 512 GB T-Force Vulcan G SSD comes in a small black box with the T-Force logo on the top left and the Vulcan G product branding at the top right. The capacity of the drive is located under the Vulcan G branding. In the case of our sample, we received the 512 GB variant of the Vulcan G SSD. There is a depiction of the Vulcan G SSD in the center of the box that takes up the majority of the front of the packaging. At the bottom right there is a list of some of the key features of the drive such as the 2.5″ form factor, both TRIM, and S.M.A.R.T support, as well as SLC caching.
The back of the box for the T-Force Vulcan G SSD had the Vulcan G branding across the top. To the far right, they make reference to the 3-year warranty on the Vulcan G SSD. We also find the product specifications for the Vulcan G SSD on the rear of the packaging. There is a window that allows you to see the serial number on the side of the drive.
As for what’s in the box, there really isn’t much in the box aside from the Vulcan G SSD and the plastic tray it sits in. Now that its out of the box, let’s take a closer look at the 512 GB variant of the T-Force Vulcan G SSD.
