With the advent of MagSafe and Apple finally adding a USB-C port on their iPhone’s two things emerged. First we saw wireless power banks, you just slap them onto the back of your phone and boom you are charging, no cables! Then we saw magnetic portable SSDs, the iPhone can capture 4K Apple ProRes which is amazing, but you can only do it if you have an SSD attached to the phone. So having a magnetic SSD just made it easier as it sticks right to the back of your phone and you don’t have to hold it when you are recording. The problem is you can’t use both of these at the same time, well ADATA wants to solve that problem with their SR800 Magnetic Power Bank SSD. This combines a 5,000 mAh wireless power bank with a detachable portable SSD, and they’ve even added a stand in too! Let’s take a look and see what this interesting device is all about!
Special thanks to ADATA for providing us with the SR800 Magnetic Power Bank SSD to review.
