AMD And NVIDIA Partners Will Offer Aggressive Price Cuts On GPUs In September

It has been reported repeatedly how NVIDIA and AMD both are planning for massive price cuts for their GPUs. As it turns out, even this price cut strategy doesn’t seem to be doing much in moving the inventory. As a result, both companies have decided to dive into more price cuts and promotions on the existing products.

MyDrivers has recently reported that the current price cuts haven’t done much in moving the inventory fast. Now the second round of price cuts is already underway. It will be a massive price cut for the current-gen GPUs. These reductions will likely be seen in September and will be imposed by AIBs on the existing stock of chips. According to sources, both companies have asked retailers as well as board partners to get rid of the existing stock.

Keeping in mind the economic conditions and overall low demand for GPUs, this problem of excess inventory doesn’t seem too easy to resolve, and not at least till next year. This seems to be the perfect time to buy current-gen graphics cards as NVIDIA and AMD both are offering major price cuts.
