AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT To Launch On May 25th

Moore’s Law is Dead released a report stating that AMD has informed their board partners about the embargo schedule for the upcoming Radeon desktop update.AMD has decided to concentrate on the mid-range GPU market, coincidentally as NVIDIA prepares to launch its RTX 4060 series in the coming month. The rumor has it that the RX 7600 XT GPU will be available on May 25th, which is the same date that has been speculated for the release of this new card.

Starting from May 15th, board partners will provide the RX 7600 XT GPU for sampling to press and influencers, allowing them 10 days to test and review the product. It is still unknown whether AMD will release any reference models as of now.

It is worth noting that AMD seems to be taking a cue from NVIDIA by implementing separate review embargoes for MSRP and non-MSRP cards. This is a positive development for consumers, as it means more affordable cards will be available at launch. It also puts pressure on board partners to prioritize the launch of those cards.

Conversely, those who are anticipating reviews and testing information on higher-end non-MSRP models will need to act quickly to avoid the possibility of those cards going out of stock (although that is unlikely to happen). Unfortunately, there is no indication at this time that AMD has plans to release the RX 7700 or 7800 series in the near future.
