AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-core Zen4 CPU Discounted To Just $171

AMD is preparing to release its Ryzen 9000 series processors featuring Zen5 cores later this month. However, many gamers who are mindful of their budgets are likely to be more interested in discounts on the current generation of products.

AMD hasn’t introduced a 6-core processor with 3D V-Cache for the AM5 socket. The most affordable model with this configuration is only available for the AM4 platform and in select regions. For those looking for cost-effective options for the AM5 socket, there are a few alternatives: the Ryzen 8000G series with integrated RDNA3 graphics, which are not ideal for gamers with separate graphics cards, or the Ryzen 7500/7600 models based on the desktop Raphael silicon.

The Ryzen 7 7500F isn’t widely available, making the Ryzen 5 7600 and Ryzen 7 7600X the best budget options. The 7600X is around 200 MHz faster (5.3 GHz) and has a TDP of 105W, while the non-X version runs at 5.1 GHz with a 65W TDP.

Originally launched in 2022 at $299, the Ryzen 5 7600X is now available for just $171, its lowest price ever. This new price can be found on major US platforms like Amazon and Walmart, with other retailers likely to follow.

AMD has not disclosed the price for the 6-core Ryzen 5 9600X, scheduled for release on July 31st. If its price is near the 7600X’s launch MSRP of $299, the 7600X, now priced at $171, appears to be a much better deal.
