AMD Says It Offers Better Performance Per Dollar Than NVIDIA GPUs

AMD’s performance per dollar has been getting better consistently as pointed out by Frank Azor who is the Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions and Marketing for the company. He published a chart in which he demonstrated his results and also showed the Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards, as well as the recent RX 6x50XT series. The cards have been placed right beside the NVIDIA RTX 30 SKU in terms of price. As it appears, all cards have been listed apart from the RTX 3090 Ti.

AMD Price to dollar

The Radeon RX 6950XT is the company’s fastest RDNA2 card and its performance per dollar has appeared to be 80 percent better than the GeForce RTX 3090. Not just this, the card also requires 15W less power. The NVIDIA RTX 30 GPUs have been placed in the high-end market and are making their mark by being the most competitive right now. The RTX 3070-3080 series, on the other hand, are equally good as the AMD GPUs.

This chart was shown almost a week ago, which makes us question our reliance on it. The market for GPUs has been changing drastically in the past few days and hence this chart is not the most recent representation of what the pricing scenario looks like these days. The chart still however is a good enough chance to see how AMD is seeing the market right now.

AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Vs. Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090
These price fluctuations in the market have given the ideal platform for a war between NVIDIA and AMD. Let’s wait and watch who offers the best prices at the end. The market situation is getting better for sure and with the new series launching soon now, we are expecting the prices to get better as we go.
