Antec Notebook Cooler Designer Review

Final Thoughts
Antec has done some great things with this notebook cooler.  First they made it very attractive; the sleek design really looks cool and works well.  Also I like that the USB cable is permanently attached to the fan, this makes it so you cannot lose it.  The grooves on the back of the cooler make it easy to route the USB cable to wherever your USB connection is on your laptop.  The 110mm fan is extremely quiet and you can barely hear it all.

The results from our testing showed that the cooler kept our laptop only 3 degrees cooler during idle and only 6 degrees cooler during load.  While this does show that the cooler is doing its job, those really are not that impressive numbers.  Other coolers have given us 10-15 degree differences during load.  I think that if Antec has some type of fan speed control that would let you turn the fan up when you wanted we would have been able to achieve better results.  Also keep in mind this cooler does not have a USB hub on it like many other coolers out there.

Right now you can pick up the Notebook Cooler Designer for around $25 online, which is the perfect price when considering the results we received from our tests.  If you are looking for an easy to carry stylish notebook cooler that will provide some cooling then the Notebook Cooler Designer is for you.  Overall ThinkComputers gives the Antec Notebook Cooler Designer an 8 out of 10 score.
