The highly anticipated Apex Legends Season 1 Battle Pass has launched today! With it you get two options, the normal Battle Pass for 950 Apex Coins ($10) and the Battle Pass Bundle for 2800 Apex Coins ($30). So what all do you get in these Battle Passes?
Here’s what has been confirmed so far:
– Over 100 new cosmetics and rewards (character and weapon skins, banner cosmetics, quips, finishers, stat trackers)
– New Legends (probably 1-2 is per season, not necessarily tied to the Battle Pass, which would amount to 4-8 a year—a multitude of names of future Legends have already been datamined)
– New weapons
– New loot
There are over 100 unique items to get throughout the season, which you can check out on the Battle Pass page.
It does not appear that new Legends like Octane will be included with the Battle Pass. They will have to be unlocked through Legend Tokens, which you get by leveling up. Both Caustic and Mirage cost 12,000 Legend Tokens.
It does not appear that weekly challenges will be part of Apex Legends Season 1, which has been confirmed by lead product manager Lee Horn, “You’ll notice the first version isn’t built around a complex quest system where you need to do a 720 backflip off of Watchtower Artemis and get two Wingman headshots before hitting the ground.” He continues, “While we think there’s really cool design space in quests and challenges for future Battle Passes, we wanted the initial version to allow our players to just play and learn the game.”
