ASUS has introduced its premium ROG Zephyrus and TUF Gaming laptops, which feature the AMD Ryzen AI 300 APU platform, with prices starting at $1200 USD.
As the official release of AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 APUs nears, vendors are beginning to display their product lines built around this architecture. Among these vendors, ASUS stands out prominently. Recently, we covered various ASUS laptop models like the ZenBook, VivoBook, and ProArt series, all equipped with these chips. Now, ASUS is unveiling its more advanced ROG and TUF Gaming laptops.
ASUS has unveiled the latest TUF A16 gaming laptop in China, featuring AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 365 and Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APUs. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor boasts 12 cores and 24 threads, with boost clock speeds reaching up to 5.1 GHz. It includes the Radeon 890M integrated GPU, which has 16 compute units or 1024 cores. This processor is considered one of AMD’s top mobile offerings, with recent tests indicating impressive single-core performance.
ASUS’s new TUF A16 and ROG Zephyrus laptops are equipped with discrete GPUs, such as the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070. These laptops also come with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-7500 memory and two M.2 SSD slots for extensive connectivity. As gaming laptops, they offer enhanced display settings: the TUF A16 has a 16-inch, 2.5K resolution screen with a 165 Hz refresh rate and 400 nits of brightness, while the ROG Zephyrus model features a 14-inch display with similar specifications.
The ASUS TUF A16 laptop includes a Thunderbolt 4 (USB4) connection, enabled by the new Hawk Point architecture. It also has HDMI 2.1, USB Type-C with a 100W PD port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The TUF A16 is notable for its sleek white and frosty blue design, as well as its outstanding performance.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 laptops come with USB4, 100W PD, a 73Whr battery, a 110W TDP design, and all the latest features in a 16.9mm thick chassis that weighs 1.46kg. They are available in both white and black.
The ASUS TUF A16, equipped with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060, is expected to start at 8999 RMB, while the ROG Zephyrus G14 is expected to start at 9999 RMB.
