The day doesn’t seem far when ASUS would become the first and the only company in the market to provide almost all components of the PC under its name. Recently, the Taiwanese company has made a public teaser regarding its newest addition the ROG STRIX SQ7 NVMe SSD drive.
This will be the company’s attempt at releasing an SSD, confirming that it is on its way to hitting the PC hardware market soon. The teaser was released on the ASUS ROG Taiwan social page. It shows the clear picture of the ROG STRIX SQ7 NVMe SSD drive. The model in question comes with an M.2 PCIe Gen4 interface and provides 1 TB of storage space.
The SSD is based on the M.2 2280 form factor. We don’t see the latest Gen5 SSD yet, but we are of the view that it totally makes sense how ASUS would first want to test the new market and enter into the premium SSD segment. The teaser appears to have been posted at just the right time; only weeks before the Computex 2022 trade shows. The new SSD might officially be announced at ASUS’s Boundless event which will take place on the 17th of May.
ASUS fans are in for a great news; they can now build their own systems built entirely on ASUS components. Memory modules were the only thing missing but now ASUS is venturing in that area too. Gigabyte is the only company right now to offer a full product range for gamers including keyboards, monitors, and other PC hardware.
