System Overview & Testing Procedures
The Z87-Expert was installed in our test bench, which we use to test all of our motherboards. All of the hardware besides the motherboard stays the same to keep things uniform.

We will be testing the motherboard at the CPU’s stock speed of 3.5 GHz and again at our max stable overclock which is 4.7 GHz.

  1. It’s called a ATX12V/EPS/EPS12V connector that was created by ISS in 1998 two years after ATX12V spec was Announced. Not 8-Pin ATX that every buddy seem to keep calling it, that’s your tip of the day. Nevertheless great review getting the Asus ROG Maximus VI Hero edition.
