be quiet! Dark Power Pro 11 Overview
The be quiet! Dark Power Pro 11 power supply is a semi-modular unit, so you have a cable coming out of the front of the unit, which is your 24-pin ATX power connection. The unit itself keeps the same design we’ve seen from be quiet! in the past on their Dark Power Pro units.
On each side of the unit there is a large Dark Power Pro emblem. This way if you do happen to have a side panel in your case that shows your power supply everyone will know that you are rocking a be quiet! unit.
At the top of the unit you have your typical sticker that has all of the input / output information on it. From this view we can see the dual-layer PSU housing with rubberized sleeves that isolates your chassis from PSU noise and vibration.
On the bottom of the unit you will find the 135 mm Silent Wings 3 fan. This fan features an advanced fan frame, an airflow-optimized fan blade, fluid-dynamic bearing with copper core and a high-quality 6-pole motor for less vibration. So you know it is going to be quiet during operation. The fan is actually decoupled from the PSU body with special rubberized ring mount, reducing transmission of vibration and noise. Be quiet! covers the fan with a wireframe grill, which I’ve been a huge fan of since I first saw it on an earlier model.
At the front of the unit you will find all of your modular connections, which are labeled. Remember having modular cables means you only use the cables you need so you don’t have a big mess of cables inside your system.
The one cable that is connected to the unit is the 24-pin ATX power cable. This cable is sleeved all the way into the unit and there is a rubberized insert where the cable goes into the unit. This will ensure that the cable won’t ever rip or tear.
