ASRock is a company we mainly know for their motherboards and they did have a few new boards this year at CES. ASRock also jumped into the monitor space this past year and they don’t plan to slow down there. They showed us some of their new OLED panels as well as some very fast refresh rate displays at CES 2024!
ASRock B760i Lightning WiFi Motherboard
It has been hard to really get the full power out of Intel’s Core i9-14900K on a mini-ITX board, but ASRock wants to change that with their new B760i Lightning WiFi motherboard. This new mini-ITX motherboard will feature a 14+1+1 power phase design, which is much higher than the typical 10+1+1 design we see on a lot of mini-ITX motherboards. This larger VRM is cooled off with a set of heatsinks which are connected by a heatpipe and an active cooling that is embedded into the rear I/O. Another thing that is great about this board is the memory support, being able to support up to 128GB of 8400 MHz memory!
When it comes to the rear I/O you’ll find four USB 3.2 gen 1 Type-A ports, WiFi antennas for the WiFi 6E, DisplayPort, HDMI, 2.5G LAN, two USB 3.2 gen 2 ports (1 Type-A, 1 Type-C), and your audio connections. You’ll be able to pick this board up in March.
ASRock B650 Steel Legend WiFi Motherboard
ASRock was also showing an all-white motherboard in their B650 Steel Legend WiFi. The cool thing about this board compared to other new Steel Legend motherboards is that the actual PCB is going to be white, which really makes this board ideal for all-white builds. Based on the AMD B650 chipset you are going to get a 14+2+1 power phase design, three M.2 slots with one of them being PCI-Express 5.0, a PCI-Express 5.0 x16 slot for graphics, support for DDR5 memory up to 7200 MHz, USB 3.2 gen 2×2 support and WiFi 6E.
On the rear I/O of the board you’ll find HDMI, DisplayPort, WiFi antennas, a BIOS flashback button, four USB 3.2 gen 1 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, 2.5G LAN, a USB 3.2 gen 2 Type-A port, a USB 3.2 gen 2×2 Type-C port, and audio connections.
