Building on their prior release of a graphics card series with hidden power connectors, Colorful follows a strategy reminiscent of ASUS’s Advanced BTF program, which similarly omits GPU power connectors.
Colorful’s concept for a motherboard relocates all power and fan connectors to the rear, while retaining exposed headers like CMOS clear, USB, or RGB headers. The iGame Ultra Z motherboard utilizes the Intel B760 chipset, tailored for Intel LGA-1700 processors. With its 12+1+1 power stage design, it’s well-equipped to handle most high-end Core i9 models effortlessly.
Designed in a Micro-ATX form factor, it boasts four DDR5 memory slots supporting speeds of up to 7200 MT/s when overclocked. Additionally, it features three M.2 2280 SSD slots for PCIe Gen4x4 connection, along with one PCIe 5×16 slot and one PCIe 3×4 slot for additional peripherals.
The Colorful motherboard is currently available for 1199 RMB, approximately $167 when converted directly. This price is attractive considering that rear connector designs often command higher prices. It’s important to recognize, though, that such motherboards necessitate specially designed chassis capable of accommodating this type of connection.
