The Cooler Master store has listed the new X Silent Edge Platinum 850 Fanless power supply on Amazon for $488 USD. This model promises support for both the GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 5090 graphics cards. Since the listing is official and orders are handled by Amazon, it’s not from a third-party seller but directly from the company.

The power supply has an 850W rating and boasts an 80+ Platinum certification. It includes the latest 12VHWPR power connector and can support graphics cards up to 450W. Built to the new ATX 3.1 specifications, it comes with one 12V-2×6 power connector, the latest standard for 16-pin power cables. Additionally, users can opt to use four PCIe 6+2 power connectors.

NVIDIA hasn’t officially confirmed the specs for the RTX 5090, but rumors indicate it might use the GB202 Blackwell GPU. The RTX 5090 is also rumored to come with 24GB of GDDR7 memory on a 448-bit memory bus. While the power requirements are still unknown, some sources suggest they may be similar to those of the RTX 4090. Cooler Master’s claim to support this unannounced model lends some credibility to these rumors. NVIDIA is anticipated to launch the GeForce RTX 50 series in early 2025, with the RTX 5090 and 5080 likely being the first models released.
