Cooler Master MasterCase H500 Case Review

Final Thoughts

At first glance, the MasterCase H500 looks like a pretty typical Cooler Master case. The massive 200mm RGB fans hearken back to the days of the HAF series’ reign, and the overall design elements just ooze Cooler Master. If you are at all familiar with modern cases, you can typically tell who makes a case with a quick glance, and that is no different with this case. That being said, there are design elements of the H500 that move the Cooler Master look along. The large mesh front panel offers a ton of airflow, while the optional, and included, transparent front panel trades airflow for looks. Add in the tempered glass side panel with sleek screws, and the dark Iron Grey coloring of the body, and you have a good looking case to build with. And while we aren’t too sure yet of the true functionality of the integrated carrying handle, we do have to give props to Cooler Master for including a feature that not many cases of this size have.

H500 47 Large

Working inside the MasterCase H500 is quite pleasant, thanks to a few design choices. The removable power supply shroud makes for easy installation, and the notched rear frame makes tightening add in cards much easier with a straight shot at the screws. Multiple grommeted cutouts keep cabling tidy, and the removable interior cable panel offers additional cable management offerings for larger needs.

The Cooler Master MasterCase H500 is just what we would expect from a case that is currently available over on Amazon for $99.99. It offers today’s latest trends of tempered glass and RGB fans, along with functional designs both inside and out, which results in a solid overall case. We give the Cooler Master MasterCase H500 an 8 out of 10 score.
