Corsair has really made a name for themselves in the CPU cooling market, specifically the all-in-one liquid cooling market. We’ve reviewed quite a lot of these type of coolers and they have been quite good. When it comes to air coolers Corsair has not actually put out an air cooler in 8 years! That is all changing with the introduction of the A500. This massive, dual-fan CPU cooler is priced to compete with the likes of Noctua, Scythe, and Cooler Master and should be able to handle some pretty high thermal loads. Read on as we take a look!
Special thanks to Corsair for providing us with the A500 CPU Cooler to review!
The A500 comes in Corsair’s typical retail packaging, which is black and yellow. On the from there is a picture of the cooler and on the back there is a list of specifications, dimensions, etc.
Getting everything out of the box we of course have the A500 CPU cooler, but as far as accessories go you have mounting hardware for Intel and AMD sockets, a large screwdriver, fan cables, zip ties, thermal paste, and a user’s guide.
