Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler Review

First introduced at CES 2019, Corsair’s Capellix LEDs have found their way into a few products since then, most notably their Dominator Platinum RGB memory kits. Now we have our hands on the latest Corsair product to feature these RGB LEDs, the iCUE H150i Elite Capellix Liquid CPU Cooler. Bringing 33 precision RGB LEDs to the pump head equates to highly customizable and smooth lighting options. Paired up with a 360mm radiator and three 120mm ML120 RGB PWM fans, this cooler stacks up quite nicely on paper. Does it’s performance match it’s aesthetics? Follow on to find out.

Packaging

As with the latest rounds of Corsair components, we find the iCUE H150i Elite Capellix housed in a black and yellow cardboard box. The front of the box gives us a nice look at the updated pump block design, as well as the 360mm radiator and fans. As the name suggests, this cooler heavily emphasizes RGB LEDs, and this is clearly shown on the retail box.

Accessories

While the iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX is completely assembled at the factory, aside from the fans being attached to the radiator, there are multiple mounting brackets and associated hardware that ships along with the cooler. Corsair provides all of the required mounting hardware for most current Intel and AMD systems, including AMD’s Threadripper CPUs.
