I’ve said it so many times I absolutely love portable solid state drives. When we first started reviewing USB 3.2 gen 1 drives one that really stood out and became my go-to drive was the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD. I eventually upgraded to a different drive when USB 3.2 gen 2 drives started coming out. Well now SanDisk has their own USB 3.2 gen 2 drive, the Extreme Pro Portable SSD. It features speeds up to 1050 MB/s, IP55 water and dust resistance, capacities up to 2TB, a 5-year warranty, and the sleek design we loved from the Extreme Portable SSD. Is this the new portable solid state drive you need? Read on as we find out!
Special thanks to SanDisk for providing us with the Extreme Pro Portable SSD to review.

Packaging
The SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD comes in a nice retail box. On the front we have a picture of the drive and its lets us know the capacity and speeds. We received the 1TB version, but SanDisk also offers the drive in 500GB and 2TB versions.
Flipping the box over there is not a whole lot on the back, but some of the main features are detailed.
Opening the box and getting everything out we have the SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD, a USB-C cable, and a USB-C to USB-A cable. It is nice to have the type-A cable as many people might not have devices with a Type-C connection.
