DeepCool AK620 CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts

Typically when it comes to large dual-tower, dual-fan CPU coolers two things are typically true. One they offer excellent performance, which is true here with the DeepCool AK620. Second is that they end up being so large that you need a massive case to support them. That however is not true here with this cooler. While the DeepCool AK620 is a larger cooler I would not call it massive by any means. We had no problems getting it to fit in our be quiet! Pure Base 500DX which is definitely on the smaller size of cases. And the way you install the fans on the cooler during installation you could do your install inside of a case, but of course it is easier to do outside of a case. I do have to say DeepCool’s installation instructions are some of the best I’ve seen for a CPU cooler and are extremely easy to follow.

DeepCool opted for smaller heatsinks and smaller 120 mm fans. These of course help with size and clearance, but the fans are a tad bit louder than say a 140 mm fan would be. So for instance this cooler performed better than the be quiet! Dark Rock TF 2, but was a tad bit louder. The noise is nothing to complain about in almost all instances you are barely going to be able to hear anything. We’ve reviewed loud coolers in the past and this is definitely not one.

Another thing I really like about this cooler is its style. No RGB lighting, nothing flashy, just some caps on the heatsinks with a design and the DeepCool logo. It is simple and elegant and I like that.

There really is not much to not like about this cooler. It would have been nice for DeepCool to provide an extra set of fan clips to add a 3rd fan if you wanted to.

Right now you can find this cooler at our favorite online retailer for $69.99, which is a very good price compared to other high-end air coolers. Overall ThinkComputers gives the DeepCool AK620 CPU Cooler a 9 out of 10 score.
