Deepcool AS500 CPU Cooler Overview
The AS500 is your typical tower-style cooler. It has official dimensions of 142×98×164 mm with the fan attached and weighs in at 1030g.
Pre-installed on the front of the cooler is Deepcool’s own TF140S 140mm cooling fan. This is an FDB bearing fan with a fan speed between 500 – 1200 RPM, max airflow of 70.81 CFM and max noise level of 29.2dB(A).
Taking a look at the cooler from the side we can see just how thin it is. With the fan attached the total width of the cooler is only 75mm. This means that even with the fan attached you will not run into any clearance issues with your memory.
The top of the cooler does have a black cap on it, which matches the fan. There is no logo on it or anything like that. Right below it is a clear diffuser for the RGB lighting, which we’ll show off in just a bit.
Moving around to the backside of the cooler we can get a better look at the aluminum fin stack. There are a total of 56 fins with adequate space in between each for good airflow.
There are a total of five 6mm-thick nickel-plated copper heatpipes that go up into the fin stack in a “U” fashion, which is pretty typical for tower-style coolers.
The base of the cooler is also nickel-plated copper. It does not have a mirror finish and the machine marks are definitely visible.
