EPOS H3PRO Hybrid Gaming Headset Review

Final Thoughts

I knew from the beginning that the EPOS H3PRO Hybrid was going to be a unique gaming headset when compared to the rest of the field. I think the two main features that make the H3PRO Hybrid stand out the most are the multiple connectivity options, and the active noise cancelling. The ability to use this headset across pretty much every device you can think of makes it a versatile part of your gaming arsenal. The fact that I can use it as a wireless stereo or surround headset when gaming at night, and then take it to my office the next day and use it for my virtual meetings, and then game on my mobile console at lunch is pretty amazing. Toss in the ANC to drown out the constant hum of the HVAC system, and you have a headset that allowed me to become more focused on the task at hand. And this was possible for hours on end, thanks to the long battery life and comfortable padding and material choices from EPOS. Audio playback, whether in games, video, or audio, was great, though I did wish there was just a little more low end in some situations. I think this could have been easily remedied with the use of 50mm drivers, but it’s possible that the extra power to drive a larger speaker may have reduced the battery life enough to warrant the 40mm driver.

EPOS H3PRO Hybrid

The EPOS H3PRO Hybrid is definitely a headset that we would consider to be in the upper tier of options as far as features, build quality, and comfort go. Along with that comes a premium price. The EPOS H3PRO Hybrid is currently available for $279.99 at our favorite online retailer. That places this headset near the very top of the price chart of headsets we have reviewed in the past few years, but I think if you are looking for a versatile headset that also includes ANC, the H3PRO Hybrid is definitely worth taking a look at. The EPOS H3PRO Hybrid earns a 9 out of 10.
