Fractal Design Meshify C Case Review

Fractal Design Meshify C Overview
The Meshify C is an all black mid-tower case that measures 409 x 217 x 453mm (LxWxH). The case is noticeably smaller and shorter than many mid-tower cases we’ve reviewed previously. You’ll see why once we get inside the case. The case is mainly made of SECC steel, but the front bezel is obviously plastic.

The front of the case is covered by mesh, with exception of a small Fractal Design logo towards the bottom of the case. You’ll notice that the mesh itself has a sort of cool design to it. This is not just for looks, Fractal Design tells us that the angular mesh front panel maximizes air intake.

Moving up to the top part of the case you’ll find your front panel connections and buttons. From right to left you have a small reset button, HD audio connections, a larger power button, and two USB 3.0 ports.

the rest of the top of the case is covered by a magnetic filter that when removed reveals room for either two 120 mm or two 140 mm cooling fans.

On the side of the case we have a tempered glass side panel. This side panel is definitely darker than some. Actually since the initial release of the Meshify C Fractal Design has rebranded this case the Meshify C – Dark TG and have released another version, the Meshify C – TG with a lighter side panel that allows you to see your components inside. The tempered glass panel is held on to the case by 4 large thumbscrews.

The opposite side panel is not tempered glass, which I actually prefer, it is your normal steel panel. This means it is easier to hide cables and you don’t have to route everything perfectly as you would with a tempered glass panel.

Moving to the back of the case we have a pretty typical layout here. There is a 120 mm Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-12 fan pre-installed, and it can be moved up or down to make room for thicker radiators if you choose to install them in the top of the case. There is some ventilation beside the expansion slots and the power supply is mounted on the bottom of the case.

At the bottom of the case there are 4 circular feet that will lift the case off the ground for proper airflow. There is a removable filter that extends the entire length of the case, which actually is pulled out from the front of the case.
