Gigabyte X399 AORUS Extreme Motherboard First To List Support For AMD Ryzen Threadripper 32 Core Processor

In a recent presentation in Taipei Gigabyte has revealed that their X399 AORUS Extreme motherboard is the first to officially support AMD’s upcoming Ryzen Threadripper 2990X 32 core, 64 thread processor. These new processors will be available in Q3 2018 and will feature the highest core count ever seen on an enthusiast grade processor.

This motherboard was first revealed at Computex back in June and will be part of the Threadripper refresh motherboards. These motherboards will feature the same X399 chipset, but will offer support for the higher core count processors and support TDPs up to 250 watts.

About 10 years of computer experience. Been messing around with electronics since I was 5, got into computers when I was in highschool, been modding them ever since then. Very interested in how things work and their design.
