Halo Infinite release gets delayed to 2021

We have had a ton of game delays lately, and the pandemic is to blame for most of these delays. The latest game to be delayed is Halo infinite. The developers of the game, 343 Industries have announced that the game has been delayed until 2021.

The game was scheduled to release alongside the new Xbox Series X in November. However, the studio released a new statement announcing a delay to sometime next year. The studio head, Chris Lee said:

“The decision to shift our release is the result of multiple factors that have contributed to development challenges, including the ongoing COVID-related impacts affecting us all this year. I want to acknowledge the hard work from our team at 343 Industries, who have remained committed to making a great game and finding solutions to development challenges. However, it is not sustainable for the well-being of our team or the overall success of the game to ship it this holiday.”

No matter what the reason is for the delay, a delay is better than putting out an unfinished game. This is a setback for the next-generation Xbox, which is bound to have exclusive title woes. Especially since PlayStation might get launch exclusivity for some titles, in addition to its growing list of exclusive titles.
