Intel is preparing to release its next generation of chipsets. In the meantime, the last generation chips seem to be retailing at a heavy discount. The 9th generation Intel chipsets are going at a discount of up to 25%.
A report by Tomshardware says that Intel is running a promo because of the rising demand in the DIY PC sector:
“Promotional price drops are one of the ways we work with our partners to continue supporting the strong market demand for high-performance processors in the DIY segment.”
The deals are up on Amazon and Newegg, and possibly more retailers. Here are the Amazon prices, which seem to be some of the lowest:
Intel Core i9-9900K @ $435.99
Intel Core i7-9700K @ $340.00
Intel Core i5-9600K @ $193.95
These are some pretty solid prices for these offerings. However, be sure to look at 10th Gen Intel chips before making a purchase.
