Three main upgrades will be given to the 16-inch MacBook Pro as per the tweet by Komiya. The first main upgrade is the 1080p FaceTime camera as compared to the 720p camera offered in the previous MacBook Pro.

The second upgrade is the CPU and GPU both. The Intel 10th-generation processors are expected to be used that are currently being used in high-end gaming notebooks and powerful workstation-based laptops. Intel Core I9-10980HK has 8 cores that operate at a base clock speed of 2.40Ghz. However, Intel has released a budget variant of the Core I9 processor. The Core I7-10875H also has 8 cores. It will be the mainstream choice for consumers as the decision will save them a few bucks.

As far as the high-end GPU option is concerned, Radeon Pro 5600M is the option being considered. The final decision depends on the fact that AMD will provide more upgrades in the future. The third upgrade is the T3 security chip. It is not clear what benefits will it bring over its predecessor T2 security chips. Apple custom chip based 16-inch MacBook Pro will be launched in Q2 2021 and a new design can be expected.
