HP P700 Portable Solid State Drive Overview
The HP P700 looks very much like many other portable solid state drives with its rectangular shape. It is about the same size as a 2.5-inch solid state drive, but just a tad smaller. On the front of the drive you have a large HP logo and in the bottom right it says “Portable SSD P700”.
Currently HP is only offering this drive in black, and we are not sure if it will be available in other colors like the previous P500 was. The drive casing is made out of metal, but it is a pretty big fingerprint magnet.
On the back of the drive there is a small sticker that has your bar code and serial number.
On the bottom of the drive you’ll find a USB Type-C connection. This will also provide power to the drive so you’ll only need a single cable. The drive is not all that thick either, which makes it easy to throw in your pocket or laptop bag.
