HyperX Pulsefire Haste 3 Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse Review

We first took a look at HyperX’s original Pulsefire Haste gaming mouse back in 2021, and since that time, we have looked at three new iterations of the Haste – the Wireless 2 and the Wireless 2 Pro. And while the Pulsefire Haste 3 has been available for a short while, in this review we are taking a look at the Pulsefire Haste 3 Pro – a carbon fiber-infused wireless gaming mouse that is their lightest yet. At just 47g, HyperX has dropped 12g of weight since the initial Pulsefire Haste, while still providing meaningful improvements to the mouse. The Pulsefire Haste line of mice has been a personal favorite of mine since the first version, so I’m really excited to see how the Haste 3 compares to the previous versions.

Special thanks to HyperX for providing the Pulsefire Haste 3 Pro review sample!

Packaging of the HyperX Pulsefire Haste 3 Pro

The Pulsefire Haste 3 Pro’s retail packaging is very similar to previous HyperX mice we have looked at in the past, as the front of the box features the same overall layout, with a white and red color scheme. A few icons and images let you know that the Haste 3 Pro features both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth connectivity, NGENUITY compatibility, and support for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

Accessories for the HyperX Pulsefire Haste 3 Pro

Included with the Haste 3 Pro are quite a few additional accessories. First up is an additional set of PTFE feet should the original feet become worn out or damaged, or if you want to get a slightly different feel from the factory-installed lightweight durable set. This is a really nice touch that probably doesn’t add much to the cost, but will extend the mouse’s life, while also giving another layer of customization to the mouse.

The second accessories are the four optional grips for the mouse body. Both the left and right sides of the mouse, as well as the left and right mouse buttons can be outfitted with adhesive grips for better control and comfort. This grip material continues the rubber trend of recent Pulsefire Haste mice, as opposed to the original softer grips on the original Haste. These grips do have an updated texture pattern, switching from a square design to a honeycomb pattern.

Since this is a wireless mouse, the Pulsefire Haste 3 Pro comes with a few more accessory items than your standard wired mouse. First up is the included USB cable with Type-A connectivity for your PC, and USB Type-C for use with the mouse or wireless dongle. This lightweight cable (presumably the same HyperFlex 2 cable used with previous Haste mice) is great for reducing any drag that you might feel with non-lightweight cords. I am often forgetting that I have this cable connected to the mouse, even when it is fully charged, which shows just how unintrusive it is.

In order to support the 2.4GHz wireless connection, a small USB Type-C dongle is included with the Haste 3 Pro. Previous Haste mice have utilized dedicated Type-A dongles that would often pair up with a weighted desk adapter that allows you to extend the positioning of the wireless dongle to your desk or another location. The Haste 3 Pro includes the 2.4GHz connectivity in this dongle, and when used with the included USB cable, makes having a charging cable available that much easier, while providing a line of sight shot for 2.4GHz communications.
